Disney Surprise ideas **UPDATE**
WE are going to Disney April 1st with another family. We are getting together for dinner with the friends Sunday and trying to think of ideas to surprise them. We did a Disney cruise with them and did a scavenger hunt already. Kids are getting older so I think they have an idea. I did want to do an April Fools trick on them, but since we'll be seeing so much family for Passover before we go everyone will already know they're going to Disney so we'll think of other stuff.
Any fun ideas? The kids are two almost 9 year olds, 6 and 5 year olds.
Thanks! Nothing too crazy bc not enough time to plan, but did get some Mickey shirts and took out their autograph books already.
**Update - so we surprised them at our friend's the other night. Had a big box with balloons, Mickey shirts, magic bands, the autograph books (we had already from the last time), some cups, etc. They were excited. Thanks all!

Disney Surprise ideas
if it was breakfast, I would have suggested Mickey waffles.
Maybe make something for dinner with the whole Mickey theme. Pigs on the blanket and put a sign hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog, maybe a cake with mickey etc.

Re: Disney Surprise ideas
The first time we surprised our kids (they were 1 and 6) we told them at a Mickey themed breakfast the day we were leaving. We ate and went right to the airport. Then the 2nd surprise was that my parents and brother were coming, they surprised them at the airport.
The second time we surprised them (ages 3 and 8) was on Xmas morning (our trip was in May). They opened a huge box wrapped in Mickey paper and when they did, balloons flew out and the box was filled with Disney goodies and a countdown calendar. We also gave them each new Mickey and Minnie carry-on luggage for the trip.
Our next trip is in this April and we're surprising them again (ages 5 and 9). We're pulling them from school and leaving on a Friday so Thursday night at dinner we're going to casually say, "Do me a favor after we eat, grab your luggage and throw a few things in because.................WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY TOMORROW!!!" Inside the luggage will be Disney goodies including a gift card so they can do their own souvenir shopping in Disney and new themed Magic Bands with their favorite characters.
We're also going again in December (it's our 20th wedding anniversary and we got engaged in front of the castle) but that trip isn't a surprise. We booked it a while ago and I just didn't want to keep the secret for that long. lol
Disney is my FAVORITE place on earth and surprising them with Disney trips makes my heart smile!! Have a wonderful and magical trip!!!!! SO excited for you and your kids!!!

Cute! First time we went the boys were 4 and 2. My youngest (who is 6 now and will be 7 this summer) doesn't remember it besides some pics around the house.

Thanks!! We're excited. Been too long since the last one. We did love the Disney cruise, but this is different. Amazing how spoiled these kids are. LOL! My parents took us away, but not as much as these kids get to go to.

Can't wait to do the Disney cruise one day!! I've heard nothing but amazing things about it!!
I feel fortunate to be able to take them away as much as we do. My parents took us to a Disney a few times but other than that we didn't do too much traveling as a kid either.

Re: Disney Surprise ideas
How about getting a large box and filling it with Disney balloons, or a big Mickey and Minnie balloon? They're at the age where they can put two and two together

We did the wrapped box of balloons that flew out (Mickey and Minnie heads). Our friends are doing an egg hunt with a puzzle piece in each egg and the puzzle says we're going to Disney world.

I love the idea of puzzle pieces or strips of paper in eggs that assembled spell out we’re going to Disney.

Disney Surprise ideas
We were living in TX in September when we went, we drove. We told the kids we were going to New Orleans for the week. So it didn't seem out of the ordinary to have the suitcases etc. but we tried to pick a really "non fun" location and told them all the non kid, boring activities they had planned. We drove overnight so they woke up in Florida but still didn't know. My oldest was 9 and kept asking why they advertised for Florida so much in New Orleans LOLOL. We stopped at my husband's aunt's house in Orlando and gave them each one of those little Disney character surprise packages and a letter from Mickey in Disney font to surprise them and they were in Disney within the hour :)
