Bathroom Reno Recommendations

We are renovating our bathrooms. One is a full, one is a half. Does anyone have a company they used that was reasonable? Dependable? I know reasonable is relative, but just wondering if anyone had something similar in size to ours and can recommend someone. The full bathroom is 9 x 5 and the other is the size of a small closet - with just a corner sink, toilet, mirror, lighting.
They both have to be gutted though.

We've gotten some quotes so far, ranging from 18k-30k. We're lost!

Thanks!

Bathroom Reno Recommendations

We just renovated one of our bathrooms. I think it’s 10x10. Ripped everything out but didn’t move pipes. Cost about $6k for everything (literally everything but the new towels I bought).

I wasn’t thrilled with who we used but it can certainly be done for less than what you were quoted.

ETA He did a nice job he’s just not the most pleasant person.

Thanks!! We have to replace all the pipes, so it would be more than that, but this is helpful to know!!
Can you FM me who you used?

Replacing pipes is not as much as moving pipes. Moving plumbing is what gets expensive.

Yes this. DH just replaced all the piping in my bathroom that he is reno-ing and it really wasn't all that much labor and he's not even a plumber,.

Re: Bathroom Reno Recommendations

i was quoted $12,500 for a large bathroom...and that includes reconfiguring everything and closing walls (turning part of it into a hallway). this is just labor tho...doesn't include fixtures.

Chat Icon I joke with him all the time that he needs to go into business. There is nothing he can't do and it totally saves us a ton. Full bathroom renos, built an outdoor kitchen, you name it. Oh and cars too. I rarely have to pay a mechanic for anything.

He says he doesn't mind doing it in his own house, but wouldn't want to be doing it for a living. He says at least in his own house if he messes something up or has to redo something, it's not a big deal. But I swear to you, he missed his calling. And when I hear what these guys make to do this work, I am like- WE COULD HAVE BEEN RICH BY NOW!

My DH is the same way. We never hire anyone and I’ve learned to much of the same things over the years watching my dad and DH.
