who raised these people?!

i'm typing this to the lovely sounds of a co-worker clipping his fingernails at his desk. wtf? you didn't have time during all the hours you're not at your desk to do this grooming?

then i have another one who loves to full-on cook her breakfast every day. there's an electric skillet in the office. she makes bacon and eggs. the kicker is that she uses butter and lets the butter burn. the smell of burnt butter gives me a headache!

why?!

Snaps her gum, drives me nuts. Also she clicks her pen. When it gets to me I play my music a little bit louder to try to drown her out.

A coworker likes to rearrange my desk when he talks to me. This includes my drink bottles and it grosses me out that he touches the neck of the bottle when its clearly open and i'm drinking from it.

Ahh, the fingernail clippers.
Had that happen in my office and I complained to HR since 3 men were doing it on a weekly basis. Aside from the noise, it's not sanitary.

Loud eaters of crunchy food. Eaters of smelly food.
Slurpers.

The ladies who don't flush.

People who don't care that this is an open office and loud conversations can be heard by EVERYONE.
A group had a loud conversation next to my cube, so I stopped my work, stood up and just stared them down until they moved.

I thankfully work from home for the past 6 years but there were so many people who didn’t everything that’s been mentioned here.

But fingernail clipping (just typing it is making me gag) I would have quit lol

I can’t see , hear, know that nails are being clipped anywhere near me. I can’t even watch then they do it to me at the salon. For some reason, it turns my stomach

Co-Worker Pet Peeves

When I was at the front desk - people would come by and take stuff off the desk without asking - pens, stapler, etc - use it, then put it back (never saying a word to me). HATED IT!

People who come into my office and walk behind my desk to look at my monitor without me giving them permission. There are 2 people that do it now - walk in and immediately walk behind the desk while asking me their question.

People who put fish in the MIC, use their magic bullet to make noisy shakes, or make popcorn which smells up the entire office.
People who wear heavy perfume. People who use "spray" in the bathroom.... yuck. People who leave water all over the sinks and dont clean up after themselves. People who leave food in the sink "soaking"... get the F out of here this isnt your house!

When I worked, my old boss used to heat up bags of frozen spinach in the microwave in our small office, or ate hard boiled eggs. The smells were awful. And then she’d eat like progreso soup out of the can- like not heated up at all. Just the thought made me heave.

She’s also leave her hair extensions that came out all over the place and would mindlessly pluck her face.

I thank God that I do not have to work in an office. I’m unemployed, but I’m working freelance teaching (it’s a German thing). My co-workers are my students. The only thing that annoys me is when they smile and stare down at their crotch (texting).

When I had an office, I shared it with one other person (we ate burritos together) and also an emerati (retired professors). The emerati wasn’t there that often, but he was so annoying, in that he wanted the office all to himself.

In a previous job, we were located across the hall from a publisher of one of those women's magazines that are at the checkout counter (I think it might have been Woman's World?). Someone in their office made popcorn EVERY DAY and burned it EVERY DAY. The entire floor of the building could smell it.

Current job, former office location, the woman in the next office did not have an inside voice. I could hear every word of every conversation she had. And forget it when she laughed. She was so damn loud.

And, of course, there were those women who wear enough perfume that is leaves a vapor trail behind them and you can smell it for half an hour after they have left.

I also have a co-worker who always goes into people's offices and sits down and just talks about himself... everyone tries to avoid him coming into their office by looking down when he walks by. It's annoying because even when you're busy he'll just come in and sit down and talk about what restaurant he ate at, etc.

My coworkers are 24, 5 and 6 year olds and they pick their noses and eat them, fart, make a mess and leave it, are slobs, make strange noises, impulsive, whine and tattle and tell me everything their moms and dads do, ask me to tie their shoelaces alllllll day, sneeze and cough on me, talk loudly
I could keep going

the co worker who eats all food from a real dish using a real fork and constantly clinks the fork on the dish, this goes one for hours. How does it take her 2 hrs + to finish breakfast.
