Suffolk County Park Similar to Flushing Meadows
I'm looking to find a place to have my son practice bike riding. Besides the Holtsville Ecology site are there any places that are similar to Flushing Meadows park? A park with lots of asphalt? TIA!

Suffolk County Park Similar to Flushing Meadows
I'm not familiar with Flushing Meadows, but Heckscher Park in East Islip has a paved bike path, part of which goes along the beach by the Great South Bay.

Belmont Park has a paved path. DH taught his DD to ride at the Massapequa preserve and Bethpage State Park

Diamond in the pines in Coram (I think) has any unused tennis court where kids ride.

I know you asked for a park but we have been taking our son and daughter bike riding at night to their elementary school- they have a great big bus circle they cruise around- and it's blocked off so no one can drive there.
