Anyone else tired of same foods?

I have been meal prepping and bringing lunch and breakfast to work for YEARS. I am tired of putting the same ingredients week after week into my shopping cart! Fresh fruits and veggies lean meats whole grain you know...

Anyone else just bored? I dont have time or desire to make elaborate meals to add different flares.

I use a lot of ST recipes and got the IP last year. Im bored of chicken, black beans, zoodles, spaghetti squash and roasted veggies! I cant eat eggs but Thank God i am not a vegan or vegetarian or gluten free would go out of my mind!

I do eat out 1-2x a week on weekends and dont always pick a salad lol

I just got used to it. I don’t care for processed food. The taste isn’t that great. I like having a protein with veg. I also do not like chocolate or dessert these days.

One thing that has really helped me is adding spice. I love my spicy foods. Go on and throw the Srichacha in. A nice chipotle powder or peppers is also nice. It really makes the food taste different.

It’s also fine that you go out 1-2X a week.

Anyone else tired of same foods?

I eat pretty much the same foods every weekday with the exception of dinner. While I guess it can be boring, it’s a necessary evil to me. If I didn’t meal prep, I’d probably be eating peanut butter and jelly every day and I would definitely be late to work every single day.

Re: Anyone else tired of same foods?

I eat the same 6 meals everyday for weeks when I am preparing for my contest.

Some small changes here and there mostly in portion sizes.

I don't get tired of it. I like the consistency.

I browse Pinterest a lot when I get bored of the usual meal suspects. They have some good ideas that are not complicated, but maybe something you hadn't thought of .

Re: Anyone else tired of same foods?

I'm bored with food too. I could eat the same thing every day and be fine with it, I do that pretty much now with breakfast and lunch that I pack for work. Less thinking involved if it is the same thing.
I'm the one that cooks, it is getting more and more difficult to come up with new ideas that aren't going to take long to prepare when I get home from work at night.
Plus, DH and I are on WW.
There are only so many ways to make chicken and fish interesting, but I try.

Re: Anyone else tired of same foods?

Yes!! I could have written your post.

I meal plan for all three meals a day and it gets mentally exhausting. It's so hard to include variety week after week while still keeping things healthy and fresh. Lately I've been dreading the meal planning process each week. And my family's schedule does not allow me the time for elaborate meals or a huge variety. I do a lot of batch cooking and some weeks it just sucks the joy out of my life LOL.

Every few months I just need a break and we eat out for that week. It's really not a great solution but it helps me keep my sanity.

Re: Anyone else tired of same foods?

I’ve also gotten tired of the same old and have gained some weight back because I strayed from the usual.
Not happy about it either

I try ST recipes, I’m in like 9 million Facebook groups for healthy eating ideas, etc. and it’s really all the same shit.

Last night I made a real meatloaf (been using turkey for a while) with little potatoes on the side and it was like heaven lol

All this focus on food every day is exhausting as well.

Honestly if you get 93% lean ground beef it can be leaner and healthier than turkey.
I HATE turkey burgers, turkey meatloaf, turkey meatballs. Using extra lean ground beef is 100% better tasting and really not any worse for you than turkey. (Gag)
