Elchim hairdryer repair
I am on my second Elchim. The speed switch broke and it is stuck on high speed. Unfortunately I use the low speed. I called them and they offered to fix it for $25 if I mail it. Has anyone done this? It seems like a hassle and I was thinking of buying a new one. They are cheaper on overstock but the woman on the phone and their website states they are not an authorized dealer. I'm afraid I might get a refurbished one. Has anyone had their's repaired? Has anyone bought one recently and where?

Elchim hairdryer repair
Nooooooo do not buy a new one. I literally just did this. Mine broke, so I sent a 25 check and mailed it on a friday. I had my dryer back. By Tuesday, like new!!! The BEST and quickest service ever. And they are in CA, I was shocked how fast I got it back.

Re: Elchim hairdryer repair
Thanks. I realized I bought mine from Overstock. Their site says they don't service them if bought from Overstock. I ended up going to Harmon and using a BB&B coupon.

I bought mine on amazon or somewhere years ago. They repaired it. How would they know?

I don't know, but I remember when I ordered it that it had slight scratches on it and seemed different than the one I previously had. So I just thought I would get a new one. It only lasted two years.
