Lunchbox water bottle recommendations?
Looking for something to fill with drinks in my kids luncbox that: -Doesn't leak -Doesn't have a straw (such a pain to clean! :)) -Is dishwasher safe
They'll be in Kindergarten and 2nd grade if that matters .

Re: Lunchbox water bottle recommendations?
We had the funtainer with the straw and it got so mildewy and gross! Yuck!
We got this one recently- it's bigger, holds more, no straw. And keeps drinks cold
Funtainer Thermos
Got it at Target though

We have this one, and I like it. Easy to clean. I can't stand those ones with all the parts in the top, they just get moldy.

I need one that's lightweight. DD needs separate drinks for snack and lunch and I feel like her bag is heavy even before adding drinks.

Lunchbox water bottle recommendations?
Can I ask those who said their funtainer straw got moldy, is it the top or the straw? Were you only using it for water? We've had our two for a year with no issue and I was planning to buy two more very soon so now I'm hesitant.

Ours was moldy in the flip part of the straw...like the nub thing in the crevices. I've only ever put water in the water bottles.

I guess I'll have to keep a close eye. Were you taking that piece out every time you washed it?

I have never had an issue in the past four years. I do not take the lid apart. I clean them in the dishwasher. Target sells replacement lids and straws for them.

The pieces would go in the dishwasher and that definitely doesn't get deep in those crevices. I would have to stick a q tip in there to clean them. Wasn't worth my time!

I’ve been using them for a few years too and never had a problem. I take them apart and throw in the dishwasher every day. I woeldnt be hesitant to buy more if you don’t have an issue with them. They keep drinks cold allll day!

I just replace the parts every once in awhile. Target sells 2 for $5 but you can also contact Thermos and they charge $1 each.

Lunchbox water bottle recommendations?
Contigo works great for us. I don’t buy the straw cups anymore either. I get the Auto Seal Trekker cups.

They also make them without a straw- the one I posted above.

I have three of these but I'm planning to toss them and get more funtainers. The contigo were good for a while but eventually they all started breaking. They also leak if they roll into the button.

I use the Contigo Autospout. We also have the big Autoseal one but it’s too big for a lunch box.
