Disney Value Resorts
Where have you stayed and did you like it? Pros and cons? We have two kids under the age of 6.
Also what character meals would you suggest for 2 young girls? First trip here for all of us and we just want to see princesses mostly.

Re: Disney Value Resorts
I've never stayed at a value, but I was just reading good things about POP Century being newly renovated.

Re: Disney Value Resorts
Pop or art of animation little mermaid rooms.
For meals Cinderella castle or akershus are both good princess meals.
Don’t miss the enchanted tales with belle attraction.

I’ve never stayed value so can’t help you there. But here are the character meals with princesses.
Magic kingdom Cinderellas royal table
Epcot Akershus
Boardwalk Resort - Trattoria al Forno Bon voyage breakfast
Not sure when you’re going, but sometime this winter they’ll be a new character dinner at artist point. It will have Snow White, dopey, grumpy and evil queen.
You can meet all of the princesses without a meal though. They’re in all the countries at Epcot at certain times. There also at fairytale hall in magic kingdom and throughout the kingdom at certain spots. Only Anna and Elsa are in Epcot in Norway.

Pop Century is a value resort that just got remodeled and i've heard its really nice. its cute with lots of huge "figures" all over (huge Big wheels bike, Rubix cube, that kind of stuff. Art of Animation is also awesome. The family suites there cost almost as much as a moderate or deluxe resort, because they have 2 bathrooms... BUT in the Little Mermaid section those are regular hotel rooms... so cute with all of the huge figures all over the place

We have stayed at a lot of Disney hotels, including all of the value resorts. Pop Century has the nicest rooms that have queen beds (the others have full size). We hated Art of Animation.....the walk to the bus and food court was SO far. It was terrible, and the rooms felt smaller than the other values. The door was like an inch from touching the bed when you opened it. This was the Little Mermaid rooms. The suites are not "value" priced, so if you are going for inexpensive, don't bother with those. The All Stars are just okay, but if you are in the parks all day it doesn't matter much. I think All Star movies is currently under refurb of the rooms

Re: Disney Value Resorts
We stayed at Pop Century last fall and will probably go stay there again next fall.
For us, it's not worth the extra money to shell out for a more expensive hotel because we are only there to shower and sleep. Pop was slightly more expensive than the All-Star resorts, however, I heard that the All-Star share buses and Pop has it's own bus so that's why we booked there.
Art of Animation does have a value rooms if you want to stay in the Little Mermaid Rooms, however they are double beds (not queen) and they are never eligible for any discounts that come out (so like, free dining).
