Smithtown residents, did your taxes go up a lot?
I got my bill today and taxes went up the most in all the years we owned here. New town supervisor after many years. Guess I shouldnt be surprised

Smithtown residents, did your taxes go up a lot?
Say what you want about how Vecchio was old and we needed new blood, he kept the taxes down and got Smithtown its great rating. Now someone in the Smithtown govt. will be spending all the money Vecchio saved.

I haven't seen my statement yet, but I'm sure it went up. I assumed the increase was the school district portion not the town.

I totally disagree. Nobody should be in political power for 40 years straight.

Most towns have their property tax bills that are available online. You don't have to wait for it to come in the mail.
I usually look online before the mail comes so I can prepare.
