Has anyone made those cranberry Brie bites?
Where do you get the whole cranberry sauce from?
I have a feeling I’m gonna make them for my family as an appetizer and I’ll wind up eating them before anyone gets here lol

Yes I’ve made them a few times. I buy it at the supermarket. Ocean Spray whole cranberry sauce in a can.

I like to use the trader Joe's cranberry sauce for it.

Cranberry sauce is so easy to make. Follow the instructions on the back of the bag, in 15 minutes you have homemade cranberry sauce.

I made them with Ocean Spray whole cranberry sauce. They were a big hit.
I wasn't sure about removing the casing around the brie. I did, which took time and resulted in a lot of loss of the cheese. (I was in a hurry so I wasn't trimming it carefully)
Are we supposed to remove that white coating? If so, is there a hack for that?

I made them on thanksgiving and didn't remove the white coating on the brie and they came out great. Also used ocean spray whole cranberry sauce in a can. I would just suggest to make them all fresh. I used leftover brie and cranberry to made a second batch a day later and it was def not as good as the fresh batch

Thank you! Glad to hear I don't have to cut away the coating. It will be much easier and I will definitely do it again.

The rind on brie is completely edible. Adds so much to the flavor of the brie.

Re: Has anyone made those cranberry Brie bites?
OK I know this is supposed to be super easy and all, but i have a lot of problems working with that damn crescent dough. I find it rips and falls apart and sticks to things and if I have to roll anything out, it's not easy anymore. I once made this cheeseburger crescent ring appetizer and had such a hard time with that damn dough. I had to get DH to help because he is better with that. it was a mess
If it came in little pre cut squares I might consider it.

I use frozen phyllo dough for the brie bites, not pillsbury crescent dough.

My recipe calls for the puff pastry...so much easier since it comes in sheets and perforated!

Any supermarket. It's in the freezer section, usually near frozen pie crusts and the like.

Re: Has anyone made those cranberry Brie bites?
If the crescent sheets fall to shit I’m assuming it’s ok if I just eat all the cheese by myself...?
