Nursing mamas, please come in
My son is going to be 7 months and I EBF. I pump while I am at work and I have been noticing a drop in my supply. He recently started solids and I think I might be getting my period so I think that might be causing the drop. Any tips on increasing my supply? I have lactation cookies, but I am getting sick of them - need something else.
Thanks.

Try having oatmeal every morning for breakfast. Also try “power pumping” so pump 20 min break for 10 pump for 10 break for 10 and then pump for 10, I know it’s hard when working but you can try doing it during your commute in or lunch break. The more demand the more supply. One of my friends used to drink mothers milk tea, I tried it once and felt it was gross. It wasn’t worth it for me I always had to supplement because I never made enough for twins

Re: Nursing mamas, please come in
Ugh, it's so hard. I BF/pumped for a year with DD and noticed a drop around the same time- for the same reasons. Throughout the whole year I had to wake up at night to pump in order to keep up my supply and meet her demand. It was a pain since she started sleeping through the night at 2/3 months and I did NOT want to be waking up to pump. I also would do the power pumping at night after DD went to bed but before I did. That seemed to help a bit. I, too, hated the mother's milk tea. It was awful. I did find the UpSpring MilkFlow to help a little and it wasn't so gross.
Also just drinking a ton of water. To the point when I felt like I would burst.
ETA: Also check your pump parts. Sometimes the pieces can get worn out and the suction isn't what it was in the beginning.

I agree with this. I have the medela pump in style and I didn't even notice the little white valve flaps were worn out and had tiny holes when stretched. Started getting much more milk once I replaced them.
Some things that always help me when my supply goes down (like others mentioned): drinking more water eating oatmeal mothers milk tea - it is gross but I just down it quick

I used Motherslovw More Milk Tincture when I felt a drop. I was able to edf my 3rd until 15 months so it definitely helped me.

I pumped first thing in the morning while I got ready for work - before I nursed my son.
I nursed my son until he was 3.5 years old. I stopped pumping at 15 months.
