Arizona family trip Spring break
So we keep going back and forth on where to go for Spring break that won't be a fortune. A friend brought up Arizona. Any thoughts or reviews on going? DH went to college there and loves it there so he liked the idea. We'd love to do Sedona, Grand Canyon and of course a nice resort to relax too.
Any ideas where to stay? Thanks

Re: Arizona family trip Spring break
AZ is so beautiful!
I've stayed at these hotels (just outside of downtown Phoenix). No complaints.
Crowne Plaza Resort Phoenix - Chandler Golf Resort One San Marcos Place Chandler, AZ 85225
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Phoenix/Chandler (Ahwatukee) 15221 S 50th St Phoenix AZ
Sedona can be a day trip. It's about 2 hrs from Phoenix. The mountains still might have snow (which is even more beautiful). Places to visit are The Chapel, Airport Mesa (more of a beautiful view than an actual airport), Bell Rock. You can park and hike at certain tourist spots.
Downtown Sedona (Main Street) has lots of shops and restaurants. You can also take a jeep tour in certain areas in the mountains. When you are around Main St, you can really get a view of all of the mountains that are shaped and named (Bell Rock, Snoopy, Coffee Pot, Depending on time of year, there can be a TON of traffic in downtown Sedona.
The Grand Canyon is far from Phoenix, probably around 4 hours. I don't have hotel recs sorry.

Re: Arizona family trip Spring break
Stayed at l’Auberge in Sedona which was amazing. It was truly very beautiful and romantic. We did a bit of hiking (but not much as we were young and unprepared). If I were to go again, I’d look into the tours they have there.
Wasn’t a huge fan of Scottsdale, though my brother in law loved it. We stayed at a large hotel that also did time share.
Grand Canyon and petrified forest were amazing to see. Again, to really appreciate, I think a tour would have been good to book.
Are you going with kids?
