US Vacation Ideas?
I'm thinking ahead to next March or so. We would pull my older one out of school to go at a less crowded time.
Our kids will be 5, 3, and 1 at the time, and I'm looking for somewhere warm in the US other than Florida, since we've been there multiple times. Dh would eventually like to buy a vacation home, so I'm interested in trying out many different places.
We like beaches, nature, hiking, museums, or any combination of the above.
Any ideas?

Re: US Vacation Ideas?
March is peak season in So. Florida because it’s one of the few places that is warm... I’d check out west coast Fl: Tampa, Clearwater and Sarasota. Different feel if you haven’t been. It’s where I would buy a house if I had that $ to burn.
So. Cali can be really nice in March, but the flight is long with three kids and the housing market is $$$$
Most other places, March can be mud season. Ski may still be ok in Rockies depending on when in March if you are into that, but unpredictable.

We go to Myrtle Beach every year however, I wouldn't recommend it for March. I think the only place you'll probably get warmer weather at that time is FL. I have a relative that raves about Sarasota.

Re: US Vacation Ideas?
If you want warm in the US other than Florida, I would suggest you change the month to at least April or even May.
Or maybe Arizona would work in March or Southern California

US Vacation Ideas?
Thanks everyone!
Looks like we’re heading back to Florida lol. We’re thinking either the st Pete beach area (we’ve been before and enjoy it), or Miami area (dh has been).
I think when the kids are older it may be nice to try a few places in Arizona. I actually think I would love it there.

Clearwater is awesome. Sandpearl Resort is my happy place. Amazing.
How about the keys- we flew to Miami and drove to Key Largo. Stayed at Playa Largo- it was amazing. Fishing off the pier, sea life, swimming in the calm, clear, warm water and seeing fish. Stunning.
We are going to Miami Beach for Memorial Day- staying at Loews Miami Beach.

How far is the drive from Miami to the keys? Maybe we’ll do Miami this time and the keys next time, when my youngest is a bit older.

An hour. We actually flew into Fort Lauderdale so we could fly to from Islip (can't get to Miami from Islip) and it was an hour and a half. If you fly to Miami it's just a one hour drive. Key Largo is the first key so it's pretty fast. That resort- was one of the most beautiful I have been at. I loved it.

US Vacation Ideas?
Just a quick caution, March is spring break for a lot of colleges, so while you might not have families in most vacation spots you may have spring break college students. My family made that mistake when we went to Disney, and my parents swore off traveling to warm places in March after that experience.
