Blow dry brushes
Do these things really work?
Here’s a link if you are not sure what I mean:
https://www.amazon.com/Revlon-One-Step-Hair-Dryer-Styler/dp/B013HJEA4C/ref=sr_1_6?crid=2K0ADTJNKU11B&keywords=revlon%2Bone%2Bstep%2Bhair%2Bdryer%2Band%2Bstyler&qid=1550483127&s=gateway&sprefix=Revlon%2Caps%2C228&sr=8-6&th=1
It looks so easy, and I’m sick of straightening, but it also looks like a gimmick.

Blow dry brushes
Huge following of these in some of my fb groups. It was sold out during Xmas time. People seem to love it for straightening curly hair and adding volume.

Re: Blow dry brushes
I have the Revlon 1 Step round brush, not the paddle. It’s amazing. I have long hair and a lot of it It dries and styles my hair completely in under 10 minutes.

Re: Blow dry brushes
I have this one by John Freida and while I rarely blow my hair out I have to say it works pretty well and it's nice to not have to hold a blow dryer in one hand and a brush in the other.

So it can work with wet hair?
You have to kind of rough dry it with a blow dryer or air dry it to damp. I think if you tried to use it on soaking wet hair, it would take forever and also probably not give you as smooth a finish/style. Just like when getting a blow out.... my hair girl just rough dries it a bit before she goes in with the brushes.
I tend to let my hair air dry a bit anyway, so it works out

Re: Blow dry brushes
I have one and I love it. I will say that I typically have to have my hair dry about 75% so I'll either quickly run the regular blowdryer through it first orrrrr do my make-up and pick out my outfit and then blowdry last. I have the one linked below and it gives me straight hair with curly ends. :)

That's the one I have. I don't use it often but when I do, I find it works well

Re: Blow dry brushes
I have an older version of this one: https://www.amazon.com/Revlon-Brush-Styling
It has an attachment for blow drying first, but it is pretty weak as a regular blowdryer, so i either let it airdry or dry it part way with my regualr dryer.
My hair isn't curly- it is mostly straight & wavy in some places, and somewhere between fine & medium. If ind this smooth it & makes the layers lay better than regular drying with a brush.

Same here. I recently got it and it works great. I wasn't sure how I was going to like it because the barrel is big, but it does a great job. I would def. recommend it!

Re: Blow dry brushes
I have one but I definitely have to towel dry it a lot otherwise I feel it takes forever to dry. I also have very thick hair though.

Re: Blow dry brushes
I bought one of these after seeing it all over FB. It was a more pricey one (don’t remember exactly which one ) it straightened my hair - yes. But it was poofy. I still had to use my iron to smooth it out. I returned it
Keep in mind, I have very curly hair. For straight /wavy hair, it would probably be really good.
