co-ed baby shower... give me all you got
looks like i'll be hosting a co-ed baby shower for SO's daughter. she's not very far along, but i've been asked to have it a little earlier than most to have it coincide with family visiting from OOS, especially the grandmother-to-be.

We did this for a friend and had a BBQ in the backyard. It was relaxed and easygoing so the guys didn't mind it. Though the opening of the gifts was pretty funny- the father to be cracked everyone up with his excitement over nursing bras and nipple cream. We didn't have games per say, but activities you could participate in or not- it was match the celebrity to their baby, decorate a onesie, and another game that I can't think of at the moment- it was a long time ago. 
ETA: And we had plenty of booze, but I find that a requirement for any party.

I would do a backyard BBQ type thing so the guys can hang out, play some corn hole or horseshoes or something, and drink beers.

ha ha this all we grew up on in my family. Some were in halls (like vfw), BBQ, house parties. There was music, food, cake and alcohol. No games.. some had kid entertainment on the side like balloon making.
Maybe one game can be the gift bingo or something while low music is playing but thats all I would. then some people (woman) can participate.

We did a backyard BBQ for my first. We had a bounce house for the kids, silly games that the guys LOVED (ie. who can drink the beer from the baby bottle the fastest), a big tent, tables, chairs. All rented. It was awesome!

I've been and it was actually alot of fun, it was more of just a party though.
We decorated onesies and there was plenty of cute decorations but I don't remember the couple opening presents (which, to be honest, was AMAZING!).

I had a co-ed shower in my backyard too I had it catered, the guys hung out on the patio, the woman hung out under a tent. It was really nice and casual.

I had a co-ed shower at a restaurant and we had a bottomless brunch. We had party games for both men and women and it was a blast.
