Could someone teach me temping?

Hi all!

For the last 8 months or so I've been focusing more on reducing stress, keeping my diet consistent and exercising - everything that should help keep me happy and fertility up. We've tried every second day generally using dates of this fertility calculator and not had much at all.

I'm looking to get a bit more precise with knowing when I actually ovulate so have been looking into monitoring basal body temperature but I really have no clue where to start!

I understand I have to measure my temperature first thing in the morning at consistent times, but what do I do with the information from that? What did you do?

Thanks!! x

I never did temping because I know I wouldn't be able to keep up with it daily, at the same time, etc. I know it has to be pretty precise.

I did also find those fertility calculators and calendars to be inaccurate for me. I have 2 DC and both only happened because I used ovulation prediction kits. My first DD I tried for almost a year before resorting to the kits. I used cheapies from Amazon and got pregnant the second month using them. This time around, my SIL gave me her clear blue easy digital kit which was expiring (she didn't want/need it because she just had her second child) and got pregnant first try! The clear blue easy kit is a little pricey but so easy to use (you get a smiley when you're ovulating) and obviously works! The cheapies are a little harder because you have to wait until the lines are darkest and sometimes it's hard to tell until after they start getting lighter which means your window has closed.
