Talking to kids about scary stuff?
A kid in my daughters class told her about a scary movie, Annabelle, and told her the doll comes in the middle of the night and will kill you. She has been crying for days (she is 6) and won’t sleep in her own bed. I explained how all movies are pretend and it’s not real and show her some before and after of theatrical type makeup to show that it’s make believe. She still is afraid and cries and freaks out as soon as it gets dark. She lost a tooth today and I had the tooth fairy write her a note saying it’s not real and only *good magic is real lol. Any other advice?

Re: Talking to kids about scary stuff?
I remember something similar with my son years ago. I have googled some behind the scenes stuff that show you the "movie magic" they do so they show you blood is like ketchup and it's all makeup, props, etc. Try finding a video like that (but first watch it before showing her to make sure it's appropriate LOL) and this way it takes away the scare factor and that it's only actors, makeup, fake props, puppets, etc.
