SleepUnder Ideas
Im thinking of having a sleepunder/movie night for my daughter's 8th birthday. She wants to watch a movie and have popcorn and snacks. I was thinking of having the kids come over dressed in PJs, bring slippers and their favorite lovey. I would feed them pizza or breakfast food, then have an activity either, mini facials or manis, or decorate a pillow case, or make bracelets or maybe just do a dance party or karaoke, then decorate cupcakes before the movie.
Would love to hear suggestions for any ideas, also thoughts on the right number of people to invite and how long to make the party? This is the first time I'll be having an indoor kids party at home!

SleepUnder Ideas
We did this for dd's seventh birthday and it was so fun. They danced, took photos with props, played twister, decorated pillowcases, and made dream catchers. We did pizza and cupcakes and sent everyone home with donuts and chocolate milk for the morning. I think we did 3 hours and we definitely wouldn't have had time for a movie but the crafts took a decent amount of time.

I called it an unsleepover. Dd wanted a sleepover but that wasn't happening at 7 years old. It was a sleepover themed, pj party, and ended at 8pm which was later enough for them. We did bedtime themed crafts and sent everyone home with a treat for the morning to continue the fun in their own houses lol.

Yeah my daughter had 1 sleepover when she was younger. ONE! for a reason
I had never heard of a SleepUnder till I googled it (thank you google..lol). Sounds like you had cute ideas for it. The pillowcase decorating was a great idea!

Re: SleepUnder Ideas
I have boys and my 10 year old had a late night party for his 10th over the summer. I had a bunch sleep over for his 9th and it was too chaotic. For his 10th I had about 6 boys come over to swim and then we drove them to Rainforest Café and came back for night basketball and my DH set off some fireworks. Boys left at 10PM.
My girl friend had girls over and did similar what you're doing. She took about 5 girls to a nail salon and then back to the house for pizza, but they also played those games Just Dance or Just Sing, which they loved.

SleepUnder Ideas
I had a similar party for my dd. One activity the girls seemed to enjoyed was decorating their own sleep masks. I found plain white sleep masks on Amazon, and each girl got to decorate her own with fabric markers.

OOh i love the idea of sending them home with treats for the following morning! And i love the idea of making dream catchers... and how could i forget twister!!! Did you do dance contests or just turn some music on and let them dance.
Ya I feel like It will either be crafts or movies. I think crafts might be more fun but this all started with my dauhter wanting to have a movie themed party so we'll probably focus on the movie.. makes it easier for me too lol.

Yes
It doesnt have to be a birthday party.. I suppose you could have a "sleepunder " or "unsleepover" for any occasion or just because.. BUt in my case yes it will be the theme for her birthday party.

This is such a great idea but I think you are trying to squeeze in too many activities. I would stick with decorating the pillows and either the facial or manis, but not both (you could diy the face masks) then I would do pizza and cupcakes and the snacks for the movie...
