ugh! School pictures...
Am I gonna regret not getting the class picture?? HAHAHA our school uses LifeTouch. so I have the option to just buy the digital image for $13... or one of the packages. the class picture only comes with the packages, so if i just do the digital image, I don't get the class picture. Am I gonna regret it?? HAHAHA I take SO SO many pics of my kids, and we usually do a "professional" photo session a couple times a year... but i feel like i have to buy at least the digital image. Are they gonna hate me when they get older if they don't have a class picture from every year?? LOL

I always buy them... and i still have all of mine. Something charming about going through them all and seeing the changes.

We always get them, although I probably wouldn't regret NOT getting them.
However, we use LifeTouch too and I always thought that you could only buy the digital WITH a package, not on it's own.

We always get the class picture but to be honest I have no idea where they are.
We aren't very organized with shit like that.
They could be anywhere.
I know DD had her 2nd grade class picture taped to her wall for a while then it was gone, then we found it under a pile of junk in her room and now I have no clue where it went to.
Just like I can't find my high school yearbooks either.
I just can't keep track of all the stuff that comes across my path.
It's bad.

I always buy the image and the class picture. I put together a memory album for each kid and it has their team pictures, class pictures, etc.

Lifetouch allows you to buy the class picture separately. Our school gives the class picture to all students for free. Speak to your PTA. Lifetouch can give them to the school since it costs them basically nothing.

The school pictures are a fundraising effort in our school. With that in mind, I usually buy the basic package knowing that at least the money is going to the school.

Aww. I am so not sentimental but I would get the class pic. I recently looked at all mine from elementary school and my kids got such a kick out of it. 2 of my closest friends went to elementary school with me and were in some of the pics and they couldn’t believe it (seeing them as little girls blew their minds. lol).

Ditto. And same to the fund raising. PTA bought all families a book and sponsors lots of trips. Picture day is an easy way for them to collect $$. I have 2 kids... and it doesn’t make sense financially, but I see it as losing a breakfast at a diner for our family to get pictures.
But that said, I don’t find much interest in the class picture. I could go without it.

Patken Photographers do our class pictures. Any package you buy, including just the digital image, comes with a class picture, so I never have to worry. I always liked having my class picture. I think you should get it.

Our school uses Lifetouch as well and I always buy the class picture - of course this year DD was sick on picture day, so she won't be in the class picture lol
I buy the cheapest package with the class picture. I think its fun to look back on when you are older and see who you were in class with.

Our school uses life touch too and I make my own package. I dont need a ton of wallets or 3x5s so I get a few 5x7s and a class picture. I do it all online.

Are YOU going to regret it? These pics aren’t for you they are for your kids to look at when they are older, in those pics could be future bests friends, spouses, teachers,or just fun memories, who knows. My mom threw out all of my class photos without telling me and when I think about it I well up with literal hate it makes me so angry(I don’t hate my mom but I was disgusted when she did this and still am).

I would get it! This is my boys first year in school and I’ll be getting one for each of them! As much as things add up, I want them to decide if they want to keep these things as an adult rather than not have the option! My mom rarely bought school pictures for us and I wish I could look back!

I always get them but TBH I’m not even sure where some of the giant envelopes full of pics are.
The one exception-last year DD’s school pics were the best pictures I’ve ever gotten of DD. Better than the expensive professional ones I buy every year, better than snapshots, better than dance pictures. I don’t know what props they had to get her to smile so perfectly.
Today is actually picture day at school and I’m already anticipating that as adorable as she is, they can’t top last year!

Funny, DD's Fall picture day picture from last year was like a professional headshot. I don't know how they did it but her smile was perfect, hair was perfect etc.
The spring one- not so much.
I'm curious how her fall pic came out this year- but not holding out hopes.
