my neck aged fast!
I'll be 50 next year and everyone thinks I'm still in my 30s. I'm sure most of it is genetic but I've been wearing SPF 30 moisturizer for 20 years and I never go in direct sunlight. I barely have wrinkles on my face (not even crow's feet).
However, I noticed that my neck is starting to show signs of aging. It's like I'm Melisandre on Game of Thrones and I just took off my necklace! 
What do I need to do to take care of it so it doesn't get worse so quickly? The only makeup I use is the SPF moisturizer (on my face and neck) and eyeliner. Does anti-aging cream even work realistically? Do I need to apply it a certain way (does upward motion make a difference)? How often?

I think the only thing that even works a little after you already have damage and aging in terms of anti aging creams is something with retinol
I would look into some kind of retinol based cream.

Honestly I don't think it matters- it just needs to absorb into your skin and you have to be consistent.
I tend to get so tired at night that I say EFF the skincare routine and then I regret it when I'm breaking out and my skin looks like ish.

Also be vigilant with the sunscreen on your neck.
Even on days when you aren't in the sun, it's winter, it's cloudy etc.
Indirect sunlight over time can be like a full day at the beach.
I can see so much sun damage on my chest. We tend to forget those areas with daily sunscreen- only when i go to the beach am I slathering it on my neck and chest.

Yeah, I've been really good about SPF for my face and neck but always forget my chest. I typically stay out of the sun but this summer I was walking around the gardens every day at lunchtime and only covering my face.

Drunk Elephant Retinol cream is supposed to be great! I bought it a couple of weeks ago. It's pricey, like almost $70. I read many reviews, and most say use it once a week to start out or you will peel. And use a tiny bit
