YES!! I'm surprised at how reasonably priced it is considering they have every Disney movie ever made.

I don't think they will have every disney movie available. It will rotate like other streaming services. They are releasing a lot in the beginning to get people to sign up.
I am very excited about the new series, a lot of the reality shows about the disney parks and also the new lizzie mcguire series lol lol

Re: Disney Plus
I had signed up in advance. I recently heard something about Verizon customers getting 1 year free. Anyone else? I wonder if they will apply a credit since I already pre-paid

If you signed up for the unlimited plan I believe. We don't have unlimited, but will be getting it soon when my son gets a #. May not be for a bit.
Anyway, we did get the good deal where we signed up for 3 years and monthly came out pretty cheap.

This is what we did.
I couldn’t care less about any of it. DH signed up because “DD needs it.”

I did this too. Signed up before I knew about the Verizon deal but I paid pretty cheap. My question is: is this an app?? Like something we have to download when it comes out? I don't even know what I paid for lol

Re: Disney Plus
Judging by my Facebook feed and just general walking around society I do believe I am the only person on the planet who couldn't care less about Disney plus. I can't think of one thing I'd sit through on that to be honest and my DD was never into Disney movies even when she was in her princess phase. They just seem so dated.

It’s not just Disney princess movies. We got it for one year free with Verizon and they have some great documentaries we have watched with DD so far (all about the Grand Canyon and the people that actually live in it; another show about sharks, etc...). And she loves watching a series about optical illusions and why we see things in certain perspectives. Last night we watched Blank Check which I remember seeing as a kid.
I’m not sure yet if we’ll sign up after our year is over though.

Re: Disney Plus
Yes, they might have "outdated" old Disney movies but they have lots of other content as well. National Geographic documentaries about nature, new series about Star Wars, live action remake of Dumbo and Lady and the Tramp. They have documentaries about the innovations Disney has made and use in their parks, shows about musicals and people coming back together to put on live shows, a lot of the Marvel movies, even Xmas classics like Miracle on 34th Street. They have sooo many shows that are from Disney, Disney Jr. and Nickelodeon. All the muppets stuff. I think they have a nice, big and diverse collection. But I know some people aren't Disney people. But the reason some PP are saying all their friends are into it is for good reason. Most people are Disney people, or Star Wars fans, or like Disney TV programming, or animal lovers, or miss the shows from their childhood, or Muppet fans, or Marvel fans, and some just like being on the newest trend train. Just my thoughts.

Yeah to each their own. None of that interests me. But I'm not a big TV or movie person. Never have been. I also don't use streaming services. Netflix was the biggest waste of money for us. We'd turn it on, scroll around and be like nope, nothing here. Then forget about it for 3 months.

I don’t care either
And my kids certainly don’t need any more TV to watch.

to be honest, i really thought i wouldn't even sign up for my free year with verizon. i created my account because the men-folk in the house wanted to see that new star wars series.
i poked around and was surprised at some of the content offered. i still don't believe i'll keep it after the free year, but i do know that i will be watching some of the non-fairy-tale stuff until then.
p.s. SO and i did actually sit through an old disney movie... "the apple dumpling gang"... that was a nice, nostalgic moment.

I LOVED the Apple Dumpling Gang. Tried to convince my kids to watch it one day but they seemed uninterested.

We signed up because my son loves Marvel and Star Wars, and well, all things Disney. He watches it every single night and loves it! We watched the live action Lady and the Tramp remake, and it was cute.

I don’t, either. DH did the buy 2 years get one free. DD has watched Moana and Frozen a few times and we talked her into watching Wall-E (which was actually really cute, I’d never seen it).
But like you, I’m not a Disney fan. It just doesn’t do anything for me. I didn’t even know DH signed up until the icon appeared on the tv.
