Southwest with family of 5?
Will do earlybird boarding, but if we get at back of A group, how will it be to find seats for 5 of us - we need 3 + 2, preferably close together.

Re: Southwest with family of 5?
Just walk towards the back- you'll find 2 rows across the aisle that you can sit in 3 in one and 2 in the other. With early bird you will get at worst a back of the group A so you will find plenty

Southwest with family of 5?
We had no problem finding 3 seats together during family boarding and we were going to Orlando so lots of people qualified for family boarding.

What we do is we only pay for early bird for 2, usually my husband and 1 child. Then he goes on before us and saves seats, without having to pay the additional $ for all of us.

I’m sorry but I find that so rude. I pay for early bird when it is important to me. If I board early and someone is saving seats for someone who didn’t pay for early bird and they were seats I wanted I would have no problem sitting there. I traveled with 12 people and we’ve paid for early bird for everyone because we wanted to sit together.

Yeah I am sure the flight attendants would tell you to go scratch if you were holding seats and someone wanted to sit in them. But I am assuming that there are still plenty of open seats by the time they get on which is why it has probably never been an issue. But if you were in like a C boarding position it might be an issue to have him hold the seats that long.
