Today is my last weigh in for Q3.

I only lost 6.8 pounds this quarter, but I'm so close to goal now (7 more pounds to go) that I am not shocked. Plus it seems that there is at least twice a month some special event where I am outside of my normal eating habits. So, I'm happy with it. At this point between my dieting history and current life situations maintaining is still winning for me.

Maybe I'll hit goal by end of the year? I don't know, with the holidays coming it feels sketchy.

I asked my husband to reconsider my skin removal surgery because I"m still dealing with issues from that.

I went and had a resting metabolic rate (RMR) test to see how many calories i burn at rest. That way I have a good idea of how many calories I need for maintenance. Sadly, my body only burns ~1300 calories at rest. So without adding exercise I could only eat about 1500. IT SUCKS! I am eating 1200 now, I was hoping I could go up to 1700 or something. Chat Icon

Week 114 - Lost 193.4 - 6.6 to go!

Today is my last weigh in for the second quarter of 2019 - it's still crazy its moving so fast.

My weight loss is very slow now. I am only down 10 pounds this quarter. 5 more pounds then I'll be a 'normal' BMI. 13 pounds and I'll be at goal. I wouldnt be surprised if I dont make September, and instead it doesnt happen until the end of the year. That's OK.

The last month has been extra difficult mentally as my husband was diagnosed with a life changing illness. So I am using this time to keep on the skills that I've learned the past 2 years to not eat my feelings and regain the weight.

Unfortunately, due to his diagnosis we've also postponed/cancelled my skin removal surgery.

Today is my last weigh in for the first quarter of 2019 - crazy its moving so fast.

Weight loss has slowed down, but I'm still plugging along. Lost 25 pounds of the 50 of my goal. I'm hoping to be thru the last 25 by September. 15 more pounds and I'll be a normal BMI!

I've also started the process to get the excess skin on my trunk removed.

How is everyone else doing?

My immediate goal is to lose the remaining 50 pounds to be a 'normal' BMI.

Wow what an accomplishment!!!! congrats!

So it took months of up and down around the same weight but this morning I finally hit a 30 lb loss!!! I was brave enough to post a side by side comparison of me when I was heavier vs me now in my IG story since there is a noticeable difference.

Congrats on being so close to goal.

Your maintenance calories are close to mine, and it definitely sucks. Day to day, it's not so bad, but it means when you do feel like indulging a bit, it really blows your calories quickly. Sometimes I just need to be able to have a burger and fries, but just that can be my maintenance calories (or more) for the day. But it's all give and take once your reach maintenance. I may have gone over this weekend, but I'll cut back this week to hopefully balance it out.

wow!!
what an accomplishment!

How did everyone do this year?

I began the year on WW online, was on it for 6 months and cancelled when my subscription contract was up. I had lost 30 lbs on it. After I cancelled, I tried doing I Track Bites but for some reason I didn't follow it as closely as WW (it also used to annoy me that they'd have 5 different point values for a food), so I got lazy about tracking and put about 7 lbs back on... so my goal in 2020 is to rejoin WW (looking out for sales that they normally have in the beginning of the year) and get back on track.

If there is a 2020 thread, I'm happy to join it!

This quarter I only lost 3 pounds... Chat Icon but I am still very happy. Had some events, etc where I wasn't militant. I'm learning moderation and maintenance. I am 5 pounds away from my end weight goal of 200 pounds lost.

My overall goal this year was to get to a normal BMI - which I did!

Also on the positive, earlier this month I scheduled skin removal surgery on my trunk for May. The surgeon estimates I have about 8 inches extra circumferential skin around my whole trunk, which is about 8 pounds that will be removed.

Some people just need the accountability and camaraderie of other people. Chat Icon It's great that you recognized it and are trying to change. Great job on losing the weight!

I am also hoping that MarathonKnitter makes a 2020 thread for us. Chat Icon

Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals

I did well this year. A little too well and gained what I wanted, but now it’s a bit over what I wanted. So I’ll get to work on that in the New Year.
