I would have it done by a pediatric urologist no question. Pediatric urologist are surgeons, they train in Urology for 5 years after medical school followed by an additional 2 year fellowship in peds urology. You do not have to wait 6 months for a circ, it's done in the office. That said if the OB or pediatrician mess up the circ and the baby needs an extensive repair you will have to then wait 6 months for him to safely undergo general anesthesia.

OB did it, since I had midwives both times for my sons it was a complete stranger but I didn't think twice.
