Fav hotel in Washington DC
What's your fav hotel in DC? Looking to go for a few days during Spring break. Last time we were there we liked the Pres We just wanted to go somewhere we can drive to and going over the weekend so the hotel prices in DC are a lot less.
Someplace that's in a good location of walking to most everything.
Also, if you have any other places within a few hours driving would love to hear too.
Thanks!

Re: Fav hotel in Washington DC
We stayed at the JW Marriott bc it was closest to the WH and close to the Washington Monument. It's a business hotel so not boutiquey but it was comfortable and we walked to a lot of places. We had a great view of the Washington Monument and the National Mall out of our window. Windows were oversized so kids really enjoyed sitting there and looking out. I wanted to stay at The Willard next door but they only had suites left when we booked and those were way too pricey.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt and the metro station is underneath. I loved it.

I loved the Capitol Hill Hotel. It's beautiful, clean, and centrally located. It's directly across from the Madison building of the Library of Congress.

My husband and I love the Melrose in Georgetown. We have booked through Agoda now twice and got great rates. I adore the Georgetown waterfront restaurant area. We live only 35 mins away from DC and do a lot of random date weekends there still :)
