Killing germs / disinfecting questions
With the Corona virus in all the news I've wondered about the best way to kill germs. How do these compare in killing germ/virus power: Bleach Hydrogen peroxide Rubbing Alcohol Vinegar
I assume bleach is number 1 (50/50 bleach with water?) and rubbing alcohol is number 2...?
My mom always says Vinegar is great and natural but how effective it is at killing germs?
I don't know much about hydrogen peroxide but someone recommended it to me as a rinse (for teeth whitening) - how powerful can it be if it is safe to put in your mouth? I also think its not very long lasting, when I first opened the bottle and rinsed, it fizzed a lot in my mouth. A week or so later it didn't fizz and was like rinsing with water.
Any other item I can use to disinfect/clean?
Thanks for all the info

Re: Killing germs / disinfecting questions
What I know about killing germs is bleach is #1. Followed by Lysol cleaners. Lysol Lists what viruses it can be used on. Vinegar is a good natural cleaner but not for all virus bacteria.
When I clean, I use vinegar & water w a few drops of dawn for everyday wiping down. But 2x a week, I disinfect the house with bleach or Lysol. Bleach is mainly in the bathroom, Lysol kitchen cleaner for kitchen and other areas. I spray Lysol on light switches and doorknobs , remote controls about once a week. If someone is sick, daily. Also if someone is sick, I take away all hand towels and replace with paper towel.
Maybe someone else knows more about the other products
ETA: what I do differently with Flu season and now corona , I add an antibacterial soap at the sink for when we come in from outside. Then use reg hand soap within the house. I spray Lysol a few times a week along hard surfaces and clean remotes, doorknobs and light switches as well. Just try to do my deep clean/disinfecting clean more often during the peak flu season I also make sure I take my multi V, vitD3 and VitC every single day without fail

Re: Killing germs / disinfecting questions
Bleach is best but I feel like it's so caustic and the fumes kill me.
I'm not much of a cleaner though so don't go by me.

Re: Killing germs / disinfecting questions
I use bleach. Or rather a bleach based cleaner- not straight or even just diluted bleach.
I've definitely heard vinegar will not kill germs.

White vinegar, Borax and rubbing alcohol are all disinfectants and can absolutely be used instead of bleach!!
