Has anyone tried anything new?
My son is in middle school and this cluster was supposed to be food and home economics. Instead of getting to use the really nice school facilities, he is cooking for us. This morning we had home made chocolate chip pancakes. It was his first time completely using the stove by himself. So in this spirit, what is something you have tried that is new.

How awesome. Love it when kids learn life skills.
I've been digging through my yarn stash and trying knitting techniques I've always thought were cool but hadn't tried. Not too exciting, but the results are keeping me entertained.
I'm also cooking and trying new recipes with the items I already have at home.

I haven't had anything new because when I shopped, I got staples I knew I'd be able to use. i just wanted to reply because I LOVE that your son is cooking for you guys! Stories like this, life skills, warm my heart. Good Job Mama

Day drinking.
I learned of this back in college. I have not brought it back, but I did have some Bacardi last night.

Good Job Mama He was really afraid to use the stove himself, so I was so proud that he turned it on, figured out how to adjust the flame, and flip the pancakes. They were even round. He needed to mix things a little bit more but over all I would give them an A-. For a first attempt it was great. They were evenly cooked, not burned, round, and flavorful. They were slightly denser than normal, but within the zone of tolerance.

Has anyone tried anything new?
I haven't had time to try anything new. I'm working from home full time and have to entertain my son (and make sure he does school work).

Seriously....I feel like I am working more now than when I'm in the office.

No, in fact I’m more tired than I have ever been my whole life. Seems weird I would be so sluggish when not doing much. I have no desire to even clean or do anything

I think laying around all day makes me tired, lazy, fatigued and super unmotivated to be honest

Re: Has anyone tried anything new?
Does teaching Kindergarten count, lol? I was a high school English teacher before becoming a SAHM so this is a whole new ballgame. My son's teacher is kinda winging it and sending busy work, so I have been scouring the internet for things to keep him busy and challenged. It keeps my mind occupied so that I am not constantly freaking out.

Re: Has anyone tried anything new?
I mentioned in another post that I started doing paint by numbers. I’m on my second one...it’s addicting & time passes so fast...it’s keeping me from snacking a lot lol
I’ve also learned how to make my current favorite drink, Mezcal Negroni!

I feel the same. Cant keep my eyes open at night and cant get up in the AM. I think its the new stress we're all under.

Although the painting by number sounds fun. Maybe I will buy some of those.

Re: Has anyone tried anything new?
I busted out a fitness dvd from 10 years ago and today I was so sore. I guess I should be doing it more. Lol!
Did some craft activities with the kids I found in the closet.
We made our own pizzas tonight and the kids loved it.
So not new, just stuff we never have time to do.
