A lot of people are making masks, but I have near zero sewing ability. I do have a big 3D printer, though, and apparently a lot of people can use these bands to keep the mask straps off their ears. I've printed 150 so far, and I'm printing 10 every hour and a half, now that I tweaked my printer settings. A friend in the neighborhood is taking requests from people and handing them out, so I've been helping to supply her with more bands. I also know a bunch of people who are still going into work, and they are bringing them for their coworkers.

It's not a lot, but at least now I feel like I'm doing *something* to help.

Not me but my daughter has been making masks for friends and family. She made about 200. Everyone wanted to pay her but instead of collecting payment she asked that they donate to her local food bank.

I don't know how to sew or anything like that.

I have a friend who's father is in the hospital on a vent with the virus and she is waiting for her test results (they live together). I had dinner sent to her and her family just to take one burden off her for one evening.

My sister is a medical recruiter (nurses, respiratory therapists, etc) She is spending 12 hours a day or more getting them into facilities who need help. They are coming from all over. She's started a fund so she can get them food, transportation, toiletries, clean scrubs- whatever they need and I've donated and spread the word about that.

My husband works in a hospital and he says the generosity is amazing. He is fed every single day from donations. (He jokes that he's GAINED The Covid-19) LOL

That's awesome! I would love a 3d printer! I can sew and I already had all the materials, so I'm making masks. Have a little more than 50 so far, that took me about a week, getting ready to drop them off at a nearby medical center that needs them. I thought about using my cricut machine to make the ear savers, but I'm already spreading myself thin. I've also donated money and meals. I would love to be able to help more, especially from the safety of my own home, but I have to work and make sure my kids school work gets done.
