Do virus'/germs "move" ?

Silly question...I know they "move" microscopically but in real life do they move or are they too small to actually move real distance?

We know that the entryway into our bodies are usually eyes/nose for colds/flus or via breaks in the skin for other germs.

For example, lets say someone sneezed onto my hands so my hands are full of germs/virus/cold germs/flu/whatever.

I then touch my cheek so the germs are deposited there, would the germs be able to "move" to my nose to get into my body? Or would I actually have to touch my nose?

My gut thought is that they wouldn't be able to move that far, but if you touch your nose thats only the tip of your nose, it still has to travel INTO your nose and get to your mucous membrane so they do actually "move" distances.

Just a thought/question I had while trying to sleep

But unfortunately they don't answer my question. Its not something I worry about but more of a "things that make you go hmmm" (to show my age)

Their point about the particles being too small/light to reach you makes sense but I've always thought the opposite. I thought of germs/virus' like someone smoking or perfume. Its in the air floating but quickly dissipates but it can stick onto your clothes.
