That’s a sign of Covid...a rare symptom but I would let them know to get tested ASAP And if positive everyone in contact should be quarantined immediately

It’s a small percentage 1-3% But even 1% would be enough for me to be concerned I was exposed My cousin first had pink eye and within 2 days full blown covid symptoms....he was tested positive and sick for 23 days A healthy guy in his early 40s It’s just something to know and be cautious of I hope I didn’t scare you but I would definitely let management know AND the person with the pink eye

Yuck. Pink eye is the worst. I also read it was one of the first symptoms of caronavirus in some patients. Hopefully that isn't the case here.

I once had pink eye so bad, the doctor at urgent care took one look at me and said, Oh Shit. You don't want to hear Oh shit from a doctor. LOL
Another time I had the viral kind- the kind the drops don't help. It was 2 weeks with no relief. Finally saw an Ophthalmologist who gave me some steroids for the swelling and he said my glands were swollen and it was one of the worst cases he had seen. I actually felt achy and flu like from it. And since it was viral it had to run it's course. It was horrendous.

Right So OP I would not be heading back to work anytime soon until your co worker confirms she/he is positive or negative This is the problem People don’t know they have it They don’t know the symptoms even the ones small like pink eye They go out and about, they go to work, they go to the supermarket It’s never going to end if people aren’t aware of ALL the symptoms And then don’t get me started on the asymptomatic people Is it really so hard to stay SAFE at home?! Clearly I don’t meant this for the essential workers which I believe OP is

Its a symptom but it's pretty rare. I wouldn't jump to conclusions and panic just yet.
Not to mention if you were already around the person, beyond sanitizing there's not much you can do at this point.
But really, I wouldn't lose sleep over this.

LOL I was just going to say... Or.... maybe she just has pink eye.. I had it several times in the past as I mentioned and it was- just pinkeye. It's possible. Especially given how rare of a symptom it is for this.

all of this. I swear we are going to get to a point where anything kind of aliment will be a sign of covid 19
I wonder how many of these first signs are really covid 19 signs. Isnt it possible that someone might just pick up something and just still happen to test positve for covid 19 and they really arent related.

Apparently some redness across the tops of your toes is also a Covid symptom. It’s called Covid-toe

It was a joke. Lighten up. I didn't say not to take it seriously and get checked out. But as others said, it's a low chance that it's that and the OP shouldn't panic. There's too much panic as it is and it's not good. Relax.

My mom was sick with COVID, home for a week and then developed pink eye... a symptom from COVID. She had been isolating in her room prior to getting it.

If she had no human contact for 2 weeks prior to developing symptoms, how did she contract Covid? Did she accept deliveries or deal w/ any delivery workers?

Yes so did I my dad was very sick. We have had people pass. Reality is that not everything can be a sign of covid. People are now taking everything to extreme. That helps nothing. So yes you need to relax and accept most people will get it.

I agree w you and am sick with some of the responses. I, for one, do NOT want to believe we should just give up and have this mentality of "well, we are all going to get it so just suck it up". No effing way. I have been doing my best to stay at home and only going out for necessary things like groceries and medicine. I have underlying issues (mild prediabetes and hypertension) and my parents are also in a high risk category based on their age and health history (mom has had lung infections, dad also has diabetes which runs in my family even though he is stick thin).
I dont like any of these snide comments and jokes, I really think its uncalled for when as I type this, there are people all over the country and world, and even people in your close family/social/work circles right now on ventilators trying to breathe and live to see another day..
