I haven't had them wear them, but they haven't been in stores. They've only been outdoors. I think my kids are stressed by the thought if it. Ds was lamenting that even when he sees his friends it will be so weird since they'll all be wearing masks. I hope it isn't mandated when schools reopen.

The camp program i am looking into for dd is indoors (art studio) and she updated the precautions to day the kids don't have to wear masks only the staff...based on the latest state requirements. So hopefully it will be the same for schools.

Yeah. I’ve been reading social stories to my work kids over and over to get them used to the idea
What are they going to do kick my kid out of school?
I’ll send it but guarantee they will not wear it the whole day and will constantly be touching it moving it playing with.
Can’t wait to see how much teaching will be done versus telling kids to stop touching the mask. Put the mask back on wear it right. 
Sorry I refuse to accept it’s the new normal. Other states do not require masks and I doubt NYS will be able to justify earring them forever!
I will get one more they maybe a little more comfortable for each of them but had to hear most don’t seem to be making them wear them unless in situations where they have no choice!
oh here we go again  another poster said, assuming she is from an educators standpoint, your feelings are irrelevant. no one cares that you personally think you're so "standing up against the new way of life" lol this is a new disease and you don't know anything more than the trained scientists. why are people still acting like this lol

what did I say what are they gong to kick my kids out of school? Serious question.
If you didnt notice I said I will send them if it is a requirement but I can guarantee they wont wear them for 6 hours straight. I get adults have to do it but that doesnt mean little kids will be able too!!
If your kid will wear one 6 hours straight without playing with it or taking it off then pat yourself on the back you are able to get your kid to do it. Hell here is some claps from me 
I am ok with accepting the fact my kids wont sit there for 6 hours straight with a mask on.
there is nothing wrong with saying I refuse to wear a mask forever. clearly said i will follow the rules when I have to but I am not OK with it and eventually it will have to stop because I am sure I am not the only one who will feel that way and people will stop.
As is people who wear them there are so many i see who arent even wearing it correctly that they baiscally shouldnt bother wearing it anyway!

In a store, only if someone says something and then she rips it off after a minute anyway. Thankfully, if I am wearing one no one seems to bother her.

If they can send older kids home for ridiculous dress code violations, then yes they absolutely would send your kid home.
I’m not saying it’s right but if it’s a requirement they’ll be expected to follow.

the uproar I would cause would not be pretty. but thats not the point like i said I will send them with it but that doesnt mean they will keep it on the whole day. they are more than welcome to spend their time telling them to put it back on, stop playing with it etc.
However I certainly wont discipline them if they get in trouble for not leaving it on all day!

I have masks for my kids, but they haven’t worn them yet. Based on emails we’ve been receiving, it looks like my older one will have to wear a mask at times if he plays little league this summer. Also, there will be certain times when they have to wear masks at soccer camp. If schools open in the fall, I fully expect masks to be part of the protocol at least during times when they can’t socially distance.
