End of the year gifts?

Is anyone doing the end of the year gifts for teachers? Our class moms are collecting 5.00 and I put in 10.00 for one teacher that I loved and went out of her way during this time. I was going to get my daughters reading teacher a gift card but to where? She met with my daughter 5 days for a half hour and all 3 of my kids 3 days a week for a half hour even though she didn't have too. I guess I can do Amazon.

I am definitely doing end of year gifts this year. I am going to get a GC for a local bookstore as amazon has had enough of my money in the past few months!! I know the teacher lives locally so it will work for her.

I would do Target or Amazon if you don't have a local resource for the teacher.

I collected money in the beginning of the year for all gifts. My boys had a drive up pre school parade thing and they got to see the other kids and wave and I got their portfolios and anything left at school so I gave the teacher gifts then. I did gift cards, a personalized potted plant, and a cute book

My son has three adults in his K room. I gave each of them a GC to Amazon.

I contributed to the class gift but I think I'm going to send giftcards as well. We have DS 2's teacher's address and I think I can get DS 1's teachers' addresses from the class mom.

ETA - I'm going to send e-gift cards. But we are also doing a drive by baby shower for one of the teachers next week so I am going to wait and see how much the collection is for that.

my kindergarteners "class mom" collected $10/$15 from everybody who wanted to contribute- and i believe she said she was going to email the teacher an e-gift card. i'll probably send her another e-gift card from us, too- she was great with all of this! i haven't heard anything from my 3rd graders class mom yet... so if i don't, then i'll send her an e-gift card from us. She especially went above and beyond (she used a Bitmoji of herself and some program and made a "virtual" classroom for the kids to look at... she even changed the posters on the wall of the background for what they were learning. she set up a class meet everyday with fun games for the kids, plus each kid had a weekly conference time where she checked in with them. so she earned something!!! LOL In may for teacher appreciation day, i sent both teachers e-gift cards, and it worked out great.
