Has anybody had acupuncture and found that it didn't help?
I am on session 8 of a 12 session course of Acupuncture for my Sciatica (as a result of a bulging disc) and I don't think its helping me at all. Has anyone had this experience with Acupuncture? I hear a million success stories...so I thought it would be the answer to all my problems, but I am still in quite a bit of pain, quite a lot of the time.
I don't want to get into the habit of taking co-codamol every morning, but I seem to be going that way.
Anyone want to offer me some words of comfort?

Re: Has anybody had acupuncture and found that it didn't help?
My father has 3 slipped discs in his back as well as degenerative spinal joint disease and he has tried everything short of having surgery (he is terrified of having surgery). He started getting acupuncture and it helped immediately and he felt absolutely amazing but he too says that it's only temporary. He is noticing that his body is almost becoming immune to it so now he has to wait it out in between treatments until he can no longer take it and then go get acupuncture for relief. Poor guy. I see what he goes through (sometimes he can't walk) and my heart aches for him, so I can only imagine how you feel. His acupuncturist told him flat out that it would happen to.
I wish you well!
