I start my first testing for Acupuncture. UPDATE 9/26/07

I go tomorrow morning, For the first set of "tests". I am very excited about it. I was planning on doing it sooner but then the "what ifs" so I put it off but now Im secretly freaking out. I would much rather try this then have to use any sort of "drug" interactions.(Not that there is anything wrong with that, just a preference for me) So I will update on what does happen. I trust this doctor with my life ( a long time family friend and basic miracle DR.) She does acupuncture for my TMJ and also on DH for his 80 yr old man of a back. So hopefully things go well.

So I went this morning and WOW. She hooked me up to this monitor to check BP, HR and the normal stuff. It seems that Im not as healthy as I think. She showed me a "great" chart and it so did NOT look like mine. She said I have a virus, that is stuck in my system. She put me on Immuplex 4 pills a day to capture the virus and Antronex 7 pills a day to extract the virus out of my system. I also have to cut out all Carbs and sugar. I picked up this organic sugar just so can have the coffee in the morning. She had me fill out these 270 questions. To get a feel of what goes on with my body. I also have to keep track of EVERYTHING I eat weekly (On a lighter note I was like "where is the snack section")So I have to go back next Tuesday at the same time and try it again. She said SHE doesn't want me to get PG yet, she feels like I won't have an AS healthy pregnancy. So we have set a time for Jan/Feb. Also she said I have hormonal blockage. So the acupuncture will help unclog it. I am very optimistic about it and was really amazed all she found out just by doing what she did.

That's amazing! I saw on TLC once a lady who had acupuncture during pregnancy and delivery! It seemed to help her so much! I was so impressed! Good for you!

I am definitely believer in alternative medicine and acupuncure, but I don't understand how she could tell all that by checking your heart rate and blood pressure. Did she do more than that?

Well I went last night again, and it seems that my body is reacting well to the pills she gave me. I have improved by 25%. I have to continue the "meds" for another 2 weeks and then she will also give me a new multi vitamin. She said the hormones are not as blocked. So I think this is good and working. I asked if I could take some b-12 because since I started working agian Im shot, she does not want any other vitamins yet. I was happy to hear there was an improvement in just a week. Thanks for letting em update. Will keep you ladies in the loop.
