Those who tested at home first after IVF
How many days past the transfer did you test and get a definite answer?
Oh- and what day did you do your transfer?
I was a 3day, and am in the 2WW, and trying to see the earliest I can test.

I think I started testing 8 DPO and getting the faintest lines ever.....I tested every day 5 times a day until beta The lines started getting darker and darker as the days went on.

I had a 5 day transfer and tested 6 days after the transfer and got a positive. The line was faint. I tested again the day of my beta and it was much darker.

honestly you should just wait until beta, I know easier said than done but you can see from some of the other ladies on this board that a + hpt doesn't always mean a viable pregnancy.

I tested at 3 am - 5 hours before my beta!!
I just wanted to prepare myself.
I saw a couple faint lines then had to go back to sleep for a couple hours so I wouldn't shout it from the rooftops.
I didn't even tell DH I tested until after the beta came back.

Not to be a downer, but neither does a postive beta, btdt, twice.
It's a personal decision to test before the beta or not. For me, when I finally get to have a transfer, I will probably test the day of the beta, I can't wait for the phone call.

I'm wondering the same thing!
I really want to test before my beta. It helped me last month with my IUI because I felt more in control and like I had time to deal with my feelings....
Looks like both of our betas will be on Monday. I'll test when you test

Ok, I wasn't going to test before my beta (on Monday, too), but you are all starting to change my mind. Actually I might test before I leave for my beta so that I can swallow the news better if it's a bfn.

I had a 3 day transfer. I tested 8 days later and got a very dark line at night, so I suspect if I had tested earlier, I would have gotten a positive, but I was too scared to try.

i had a 5day transfer on nov 17th and started testing wed nov 19th didnt get my postive till that sunday nov 23rd

i tested 11 dp 3dt. I wanted to be certain the HCG was out of my system. I didn't do a beta until 13dp 3dt.
This is totally a personal choice. I too wanted to prepare myself for the beta. I was away from home and I was worried sick. It helped ease my mind until the beta.

3 day transfer. Started testing at like 3 days later to see the HCG leave my system. Once I got a clear BFN for 1 days..I re tested at 8dp3dt and at 9dp3dt I got a +.
I was a POAS freak though.

5 day transfer....I didn't test until 8dp5dt (13dpo) but NOT with FMU & got a Pregnant on a digital within 1 minute!!!! I tested again at 11dp5dt but this time with FMU & again, Pregnant within 1 minute!
