how do you find inspiration rooms?
where do you look? I need some inspiration for my living room. Do you just google image "living room"?

I like Devine Design and Color Splash.
And yes, I google image a lot too. But I get specific like neutral living room or traditional living room, beachy living room, living room with fireplace... and such.

Do you know what kind of look you are going for in your LR? If you do you can narrow the search down on the internet and then search on the pics.

I want a traditional/casual living room...
Skirted furniture - sofa/club chairs (in a canvas type fabric), walnut colored coffee table, handpainted side tables... I really just need help with accessories, wall art, and room layout.
I know what I want, I know what I like - I just want to see if everything I like will look good together.

Sounds like you really know what you want. Try to put together something like this with pictures you have, the style and colors you want. It helps me out all the time when I'm not sure. GL!

Thanks Jen!!! I LOVE how you do that for your stuff!! I'm so computer illiterate - I don't know how to use photoshop (I don't even have it).
I think I may just get a boatload of home mags and cut and paste the old fashioned way!

No problem Jenn! I don't use photoshop. I just put my pics into PowerPoint. You could even use a Word document. But the old fashion way is fun too. Then you can really move things around if you want. Draw the layout of your room, where doorways are, windows, etc. and then place furniture pics around so you can figure out what you want where. Just a thought. Get a three ring binder and start putting pics into that. Have fun with it.
