When will I ever relax about this pregnancy?

I am almost 13 weeks... but I am terrified everyday that I will lose this baby. Ever since having a miscarriage at 5.5 weeks, it has taken the joy of pregnancy away. Every cramp makes me anxious, every time I go to the bathroom I'm terrified. My regular clothes don't fit, but I'm scared to wear maternity or buy maternity so that I dont jinx myself. Every sono appt I get myself so sick beforehand convinced that something will be wrong. I keep reading about miscarriages that happen after 12 weeks, and although I know that they arent very common, I am so afraid. I had my ultrascreen and the sono looked perfect. I will get the blood results today and another sono to calm my fears. Did anyone else go through this after a loss? I'm making myself crazy and I don't know how to stop!

You will relax about the pregnancy when the baby is in your arms. I think that is just how it goes.

I feel your pain. I had a miscarriage before I had DD. The whole pregnancy was terrifying for me. I think I was finally able to relax a little after my level 2- but everything was still in the back of my mind.

I just had a miscarriage again a few months ago- and I can already tell that when I (hopefully) get PG again, its going to be worse than when I was PG with DD.

Ive never had a miscarriage, i can only imagine the devastation after one experiences one but try your best to relax stress is not good for you or the baby ...I believe God will watch over you and this baby I am praying very hard for you but know everything will be great

I know what you mean and have felt the same way many, many times. I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks in January and now that I'm pg again, I still get worried. I am 15 weeks now and I think the only thing that has helped me through is realizing that its all in Gods hands and I can't spend my days stressing about what might happen. That doesn't do you any good, nor the baby any good.

Just try to relax and take deep breaths when you start to feel a little anxious and worried. Take care of yourself and know that your mental health and stress levels are just as important as your physical health.

I feel the same way. Im 12w tomorrow. I had 2 m/c and this pregnancy scares me to death. Even the doc told me to relax and enjoy but i just cant. I cringe when i got to the bathroom that im going to see something and wonder if every cramp is normal. i have made myself nuts. b4 my appointments i freak out then once i see the baby on the screen i feel so good but it doesn't last long. i think it will get better as i get closer to the due date but i know i wont feel 100% till this baby is in my arms.

I'm 18 weeks, and I don't think I will ever feel relaxed about this pregnany. I had a major wobble on Monday and almost booked myself into a private scan, but decided that this was out of my control and I can wait another 2 weeks until my 20 week scan and tests. I am not losing sleep, but I do have my moments where I freak out...quietly. Everyone at work keeps telling me I am not myself lately (even though I sang a song about Vaginas in the office yesterday) which upsets me.

But maybe after I reach the 19 week point (which is when I miscarried earlier this year) I might relax, but hopefully after my 20 week scan, I will start to enjoy it.
