Invite Daycare kids to 1st bday?

DS first bday is in August. We are trying to decide whether or not we want to invite a few of the kids and their parents to the bday party. My gut says no, wait til next year or after because they really don't do anything and it would be more of a socializing for the parents. WWYD?

I dunno, it kinda depends. Are you friendly with them? Do you have play dates with their kids? If not, I would probably wait since they probably won't interact that much.

We decided to pass-at our center it seems to start at age 3-this year DD's "class" is turning 3 and we are starting to get invitations and the kids are starting to play together a lot-it's so cute.

We are thinking we are still going to skip it for DD until next year when she can start to get into it more/remember it more.

Nope. Liam never got invited to one party all year so I think it is kind of the norm to not invite Day Care kids at that age. Unless you are friendly with a kid and have playdates like a PP mentioned.

Not necessary. They don't interact at that age.

We did - we had 2 of them because they were sort of a crew in the class Chat Icon

Totally disagree with this statement but I don't think it's necessary to invite them unless you are friendly outside of daycare.

Thanks! They definitely do interact...they pull up to each other in their little walkers and "talk" to each other all the time. Beyond saying hi and having some conversations at daycare, I don't know the people there. I probably will wait. Thanks!

Yes we invited 2 kids from his class and he was invited to theirs as well. I became very friendly with the Moms of these kids during drop off and pick-up.
