She is here ... Birth Story with pics
Well OCTOBER 1st scheduled Induction...noon
3 tries to get IV in since blew vein 2x.. fun fun
was only 1 cm and 50%, few contractions during the day and up to 2 min apart but no progress, 10:30 pm
they decided to stop the induction since nothing was happening. so I made the decision to go with repeat c section October 3rd
left the IV in and wrapped so they didn't have to redo it again...went home !
OCTOBER 3
5:30 AM hospital register and get all set up, paperwork done,etc...
7:20 AM walk down to OR, prep, spinal etc..
Roxanne Ronza made her appearance at 7:58 AM ..Daddy cut the cord
- Dr held her up over curtain:)
Roxanne APGAR scores were 9 and 9
13 1/2" Head - 20" long and 7 lb 10 oz
There was a KNOT in her cord, from many summersaults in mommy - so I am very glad we got her out safe and i decided to do the c section.
Robert took alot pics and video, while we were still in OR, back in room by 8:45 ~ morphine for pain about 10 and norco for pain about 3:00 ~only time I really hurt was when they keep pushing on stomach to check uterus - was up walking around 4:30 -
Went home October 4 evening... slight headache and tired..
next 2 days headache worse barely function other than in bed and Robert did everything else other than me BF Roxanne and by morning of October 6 was unbearable barely made it to bathroom and back...so called friend to come watch my other 2 kids and had Robert take me to ER for spinal headache so it could be taken care of by bloodpatch... after that all was good..
Roxanne is a bit jaundice and at 25 hrs she was at 9 so redid her bloodwk next day was 12 at her peditrition, and redid it again monday and was at 17, billi blanket light was ordered for home, and bloodwork again oct 10 was down to 13.1, so Dr said to keep her on the billi light till monday and redo the blood again, so hopefully its gone by then, it should be after 6 days on the light...
good news is she is up to sleepin about 4 hrs at night at time, so awake maybe 2 x at night Image Attachment(s):

Yea Dr said if I was feeling up to it I could go home as early as the next evening, otherwise would have been discharged the next morning anyway on the 5th --

Looks like her daddy :) Roxanne is his first baby so he is so very over protective already, is telling me how to do this and that and watch her neck etc... etc..
I keep telling him yeah honey I KNOW... she isn't my first ....one thing he wont do is change diapers though-lol Image Attachment(s):

Congratulations! She is beautiful. Wow I can't believe you went home the next day . They had to kick me out I didn't want to leave on day 5.
