It’s happened to all of us. We’re driving down the highway and a chunk of snow, either from our own roof or someone else comes flying down obstructing our visibility and safety while driving. And, we are not alone. In fact, a similar occurrence has lead Democratic Majority Leader to take action of flying snow and ice hurled from rooftops of cars on our roads.
The local Lloyd Harbor official is proposing making it unlawful for drivers to have more than two inches of snow and “any accumulation” of ice (on the hood of their car). And, the penalty for violation would be up to $150.
This new measure is being considered in addition to others such as banning text messaging while driving and smoking with kids in the car.
However, some feel the proposal is a bit preposterous, noting that it would be fairly impossible to enforce, unless authorities were going to measure the amount of snow on everyone’s car…and that they note is simple an “impossibility”
