Congratulations! Your precious little bundle of joy is finally here. She’s the prettiest, little thing you have ever seen. He’s more perfect then words. Let the photo extravaganza begin! Every passing moment needs to have its own photograph so that it will never be forgotten. With our current technology, digital cameras make it easy to capture many candid moments.
But when it comes to one of the most life changing events you will ever experience it is time to put down the camera and let a professional photographer take over. There are many wonderful family photographers who specialize in newborn/infant photography. They will be able to create an amazing memory for you to cherish for a lifetime to come.
Professional photographers know how to photograph infants in different, imaginative ways, ensuring one of a kind photographs tailored to your infant. Each photographer will have their portfolio of past sessions available for you to review. If there are specific scenes, even ones you have found on your own, that you would like replicated your photographer will do their best to recreate it.
It is best to set up an appointment with the photographer you choose long before your baby is even born. Some photographers even suggest calling as soon as you know you’re pregnant! Make an appointment based on your due date so that you are on the schedule. They know that babies come when they want to, so will schedule the shoot around the birth. The best time for a newborn photography session is 5 to 10 days after birth. This sounds really early, but you need to remember that every day your baby is going to be growing and changing in leaps and bounds. If you want that precious newborn photograph it needs to be taken fast!
Don’t forget the possibilities with older siblings. Now is the time when all of your children are magically in love with one another. Make sure to bring along big brother or big sister to be included in the photo shoot. You will be able to cherish the child’s love in their eyes forever, even when the sibling rivalry begins!
