As women we are always typically concerned with how we look. And we spend millions if not billions (collectively) to ensure we step out in style. From efforts to reshape our booty, hair and face, and most everything in between, so we really should give ourselves a hand; except well, maybe when it comes to taking care of our hands.
My DH is constantly amazed (and appalled) at how pulled together we can look while our fingers and hands looks to the contrary pulled apart. And, while WE (ladies) often blame it on the housework and our lack of time for proper pampering, experts offer a different explanation.
They suggest that some of us nibble on our nails as a way to stave off cravings, adding that this biting behaviour is quite common among those dealing with stress who tend to skip meals and supplement with caffeine. Make sure to eat regularly, they say adding plenty of protein to your diet to help keep regulate healthy blood sugar levels. “Neurotic” nibblers should also look into stress-reducing and releasing techniques including ways to unwind and relax, such as yoga, meditation and positive lifestyle and dietary changes
In addition they recommend taking horsetail supplements that are a good source of silica that aid with hair and nail strength. Other recommended supplements include calcium, magnesium, and potassium, as well as gelatin both in a capsule or in standard gelatin form.
