Even before hosting one holiday party, we can bet that your holiday plate is FULL, leaving you little room to actually enjoy the holidays
Let’s fact it, the holidays have become BIG business and between braving the crowds, seizing the opportunity to socialize at every seasonal soiree, and try to keep up with Colin Cowe as the (party) host with the most, you may begin to feel like you’d rather be anywhere but home for the holidays.
But why not get into the spirit of the season with a few uplifting activities guaranteed to lift your spirits and bring you closer to friends and family.
Whether you’re decorating a Chanukah bush or Christmas tree or decorating the house for any other seasonal festivity, consider making it a family and companion friendly events.
Make preparing for the holidays a “party” from the start. Make picking out your tree a bonding or family experience. Consider perhaps even taking a drive upstate and making a long weekend out of it. If you’re more inclined to stay local, consider picking out a tree and then making trimming it a romantic event or one to make more memories by bringing together friends and family.
Break out the eggnog or spiced cider, serve up some tasty (preferably homemade) treats such as oatmeal cookies, chili-dusted nuts, creamy cheese dips and crudités, unpack all those treasured trimmings and let the stress-free “festivities” begin.
