UPDATE #3 @ 6:30- Prayer Request for my mom
Update #3:
Just got a call from my parents! They had just gotten in their car and were leaving the hospital!!! My mom stills sounds really out of it- I could barely hear her- she was 1/2 asleep. They're going to stay in Queens tonight and come out tomorrow... I'm just so relieved that she's out.
Thank you all again for your prayers!!!!
Update #2:
Just heard from my dad. My mom had some problems w/ the anestesia and they had to put a tube down her throat to keep her breathing! My heart is racing right now! 
He said she's starting to wake up a little at a time but seems VERY out of it and barely knows that my dad is there. If she wakes up and starts to feel better then they'll let her go home- otherwise she's spending the night in the hospital. Please if you have some prayers she could use them now! Thank you everyone!!!
Update #1:
The Dr. just came out to tell my dad that they've done all that they can for today. She has tons of stones in her bile duct (which can't be removed b/c you need it to live). They can only work on removing the stones for so long before the area gets swollen- so she's going to have to go back again in a month and possibly at least another time after that. I don't really know how she's doing yet- they said once they're done with all they can do for now then she goes to recovery. I'm starting to think I should've gone w/ her---- b/c I've had knots in my stomach all morning Thank you so much for the prayers everyone!!!! I'll update again when I know more!
Some of you remember she had surgery about 6 months ago but they never really fixed the problem.
She's going into Mt. Sinai hospital in the morning to have surgery. It will be the first of 2 if not 3 surgeries.... please pray it goes well. 
I'm feeling very nervous and anxious about it- and am not going in with her as I'm staying home to take care of the dog. If anything doesn't go perfectly I will drive in there tomorrow, but I'm hoping she'll come home--- though they're not sure yet. TIA!!!

You are in excellent hands at Mt. Sinai. Please know that they are the best for gastro.
Good luck to your mom...it will suck for a while for her but she will be ok.

Everything will be fine. This procedure is so much less invasive than the other one. Here's some for a speedy recovery and for her to get home ASAP.

Hey Susan- just got your FM. I forget the name of the dr. I'll check w/ my dad when he calls. Yeah, that's why we sent her there- we wouldn't let her mess around w/ the dr's out here anymore.... their one screwup was enough!

Thank you! I just saw this!
She's doing well... she has to go back again an about a month or so to do it all over again!  She then may have to go back one more time- but they won't know until next time.
