I amde a fantastic beef stew the other night - I usually make it from scratch, but I used the "McCormick Bag 'N Season for Beef Stew".
It's a packet that comes with seasoning (you just add water and flour) and a bag to cook it all in. I added carrots, onions, celery and potatoes in addition to the stew meat.
We had it over egg noodles and it was delish!!!!!!

I made this stew on Sunday and it was A-MAZING!!
I didn't include the demi-glace and used bacon for pancetta and it was still the best stew I've ever had (I'm humble

I made this...it was very good
two things I would do differently - is marinate the meat in some worcestshire sauce before cooking and add a little red wine after it has cooked for an hour or two
RECIPE INGREDIENTS: 1 large onion, halved and thinly sliced 2 medium carrots, peeled and thinly sliced 2 large potatoes, cut into 1/2-inch chunks 1 cup fresh green beans, in bite-size pieces 1 can of corn 1 pound beef stew-meat chunks 1 bay leaf 1 clove garlic, crushed 3 cups low-sodium beef stock 2 tablespoons light brown sugar 3/4 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce Pepper to taste 1. Put everything in the slow cooker; stir to combine.
2. Cover and cook on the low setting for 8 to 9 hours or on high for 4 to 5, until the beef is tender and the potatoes are just fork tender.
3. Stir the stew once or twice as it cooks, if possible.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
**if you want it thick with about 30 mins left of cooking, take a ladle full of the broth and combine in a small bowl with 3 tbls of flour - when it gets thick , throw back into the crockpot and cook for the remaining 30 mins. --I don't like it that thick so I stayed away from this , but it still was just as good!
