As long as you called in, there is nothing you can do. This is something, by law, that you have to do. As long as you called for your sub, I would think everything is fine.

shoot an email over to your principal saying your # was called and that you followed the proper protocol for a sub. There's nothing he can do - by law you have to go!

Heres what I had to do in my district:
Tell secretary
Copy the summons
call sub line that day
Call school that day
leave sub plans

Contact your principal as immediately (leave a message or send an e-mail). Just be sure to keep them informed as to what is going on.
