Curves?
Anyone go to curves?
I am thinking of joining and was wondering how much it costs? I called, but they are closed right now- so I was just wondering if anyone knew...
The one near me does not have a website...
Did you like it?
(My complex has a gym, but I think that I would get better use out of a "gym" environment, plus it might be another place to meet people in GA...
ETA: Just realized that this probably belongs in Diet... so if you feel like moving it, feel free

Re: Curves?
Closed at 6:30? That sounds like it may have rough hours to go work out, no?

Re: Curves?
If you do a search for "curves" on the diet&fitness board there are a bunch of threads.

Re: Curves?
I stopped going about a year ago, but I was paying $39.99 a month, with a one year contract and automatic monthly charge to a credit card. It was an extra $10 a month if you didn't want the one year contract. I was able to cancel my membership pretty easily at the end of the year when I left.
Hope that helps!

it does! Thank you!
Do you happen to know if you can do a month to month membership. I am only going to be here until May and don't know where I am going to be after May... so I was hoping for a short membership...
I couldnt get hold of them today...so odd,the phone just rang-no machine or anything

Re: Curves?
It might depend on the location. They are a franchise, but independently owned. The one I joined would have let me do it, but I am not sure if that is standard or not - they were a new location and were really looking for members.
They do let you transfer the membership to another location while you are still under contract if you move. The hours are not as good as a regular gym, but most are open until at least 8:00pm.

Re: Curves?
I did go and I did like it , but they don't do month to month payment plans and I am only in GA until May and then after that I can be anywhere in the US or outisde of the US- we wont know until early MAY----Dh's job is nutty! SOOO, I don't want to pay for a plan and then not use it!
So, I have gone to the gym in my compex -I am starting off slow and still it's kicking my a$$. I haven't worked out in so long- I am not overweight, but I am soooo out of shape! AND I realize it now that I am completely wiped out after 30 min. on the treadmill!
I cut out soda completely-(I was never into soda but this past year I started drinking it a lot- not anymore- all cut out 100%)
and I am going to do my best to at least do 30 min and then work my way up! I need motivation!
