Bangs

I am so in the mood to cut my hair and get bangs. I know after I do it, I will regret..but I am still going to. Does anyone have any good pics..Thanks

I just did this. I had bangs for a long time, years ago. I am not sure if I will keep them now. I like them but I have trouble getting them to sit the same on both sides.

when i dyed my hair black a couple of montha ago i cut my bangs....

now, a few weeks/months later i am dealing with the aftermath! i hate them and cant wait for tehm to grow out!!!!!!!! grrrrrrrrrr!

I got bangs and i love them. I get so many compliments on them. Word to the wise, don't get them in the summer..get them when the humidity is low so you can get them straight most of the time. On my hair they frizz up in the summer so I grow them out then.

I got bangs two months ago and I love the look.

what is your face shape?

some face shapes look better with bangs, some dont

eta- some people didnt really like the bangs on me and i see why- my face is oval and the bangs added un-necessary weight to me

The oval face is considered to be the ideal shape by hairdressers. People with an oval face shape can wear most hair cut styles and lengths with it still looking "right". The oval face is mathematically 1.5 times as long as its width, with the forehead slightly wider than the jaw.

Round faces are characterised by a round chin. Because they lack the length of the oval face, the hair should be cut to create the illusion of length in the face. This is achieved by creating height on top of the head, and minimising hair width by keeping it flat at the sides and around the ears.

Rectangular faces have a square chin and hairline, and are long and narrow. The ideal style of hair cut is one which creates width at the sides disguising the narrowness. A fringe can also shorten the face, and a style with a side part will help to reduce the square appearance.

Pear shaped faces have a narrow forehead and are widest at the jawline, with a round chin. The objective of a suitable style of hair cut is to give the illusion of an oval face by creating width at the forehead and temples.

Heart shaped faces are widest at the temples and narrowest at the jawline. Usually the chin is small and delicate. The hair cut style's objective should be to create an oval by adding width at the jawline.

Diamond shaped faces are widest at the cheekbones and narrow in the forehead and chin. By creating width at the forehead and minimising it at the cheekbones, the illusion of an oval face can be achieved.

Square faces have a square jawline and hairline at the forehead. They are 'too short', so a suitable hair cut style seeks to create height elongating the face. Hair should be layered around the face to soften the jawline. Jaw and brow nearly same width. Hair should wisp around face to reduce squareness.

I cut long bangs a few month ago and loved they way they looked for about a week. Now they drive me crazy and i cant wait for them to grow out. I'm also not great with styling my hair though!

I have bangs because that is the way my hair grows. Well, that and I have a huge fivehead [forehead!]!

I hate them. They grow so fast and always look stringy (I have thin, fine hair) and always seems to part in the middle.... I wish I could grow them out, but I have a really long face, a huge forehead, and well, you get the picture.

just remember, depending on your hair type..bangs can be high maintenence!

I just got them 2 weeks ago and I love them. I was unsure but i realy didnt know what to do with my hair anymore since the pregnancies changed my texture so much

My honest opinion is that bangs don't look good on most people, and they take a long time to grow out if you don't like them.

I'm going to get my hair cut next Friday and I intend to get bangs.

I ended up with bangs by accident (due to breakage from going "porn-star" blonde) and I loved the way it looked. I thought I looked pretty damn good with them back then. I hope I feel the same way after next Friday!

i have 'side bangs' and they are pretty easy....they are not super short, so they grow out pretty quick

I cut bangs after my wedding in November. love them at the moment especially since Reese has them. Bangs are an easy change and if you don't like them it gives you something to grow out.

I love bangs, especially side swept ones. I am growing mine out now, though, b/c I have wavy hair and they're a pain to deal with in the summer.

If you don't get them cut too thick, I think they're easy to grow out.

Do you mean straight bangs or side bangs? Maybe start with a side bang, so that it's not so drastic?

I cut bangs about two months ago and LOVE them. I get so many compliments. I started with a long side bang and worked my way up to shorter real bangs now....I have a round or a heart shaped face (I can never tell) if that helps at all
