That's where I work! We've heard that thousands may be showing! Districts from all across LI are sending buses of people to show support. The news will probably be there too. You can't park in the local school's parking lots. We got a note late today that they are blocking off all parking lots to schools in the area at 4pm.
To learn more about what is going on: EMTA
Please bring signs with slogans of support and you could wear black, as we do.

My district will have people there. I'd go, but I'm too pregnant to stay out late and stand for any length of time.

I work there too! Tonight's turnout was AMAZING!
Too bad the meeting was cancelled but you had to know it was coming!

I couldn't believe how many people were there! They lined Old Country Rd. from The Plain Rd. to Washington, all down The Plain, and along Stewart all the way to Bowling Green Elementary! It was wall to wall people in support! It came as no surprise that they cancelled but that sends such a message too.

both my DH and I are teachers... he went and I had to watch our 1 yr old daughter. He said it was such an amazing turnout. I am proud that we all stand behind eachother!
