Yes. He wanted to be there and I wanted him there and I thoguht it was important that he heard when the doctor had to say.

I got an appointment for Oct 3 (which I think I will be 7 weeks at that point). DH can't make it, I am wondering if I should change it to the following week (since the doctor is on vacation)

Dh came to both of my 1st appts. He missed the heartbeat on the last one cause he got antsy in the dr's office and took a walk!

DH did come, but to be honest, it really wasn't necessary. The doctor did not do a sonogram- just an internal and blood work. I had already had my genetic testing done, so there weren't too many questions to ask about his family history. DH is coming to the next appointment where we will have the sonogram.

No. I would find out what they do at the first appointment before you take him. It could be a total waste. If they do an ultrasound though it would be nice to have him there.

They did say that they would probably do the ultrasound.
I think I am going to change it to the following week.

No, and sadly my DH has not been able to make any of my appointments... It's not that he doesn't want to go, it's just for the really important appts (like the 2 sonos I had), there was no way he could get out of work.

My first appt at 4.5 weeks was to take blood to confirm that I was PG. He did not come to this one. At my next appt when I was 8 wks 4 days, I had my first ultrasound and DH came to that one. I would change it if possible, it's so awesome to see your peanut and see his/her heartbeat for the first time. I'm sure your DH wouldn't want to miss that.

my first two appts were just confirmation blood tests, so no DH didn't come, it wasn't necessary, my next two appts were sono's, i had a little bleeding, so the dr wanted to make sure everything was progressing ok, DH was with me, he will be at the next one too, the next appt is the official first "prenatal exam", the dr will do an internal, sono, blood work, and a full consultation. i would find out what they plan on doing during your first visit

Yes, and I'm so glad he did. I had a sono done and we had a nice long talk with the Dr. I recommend him coming.
